Dorchester Illustration no. 2230
The attached realphoto postcard shows a section of Ashmont Street looking east from the corner of Carruth Street. Postmarked Dec. 12, 1911.
The buildings are in order 281, 283 and 285 Ashmont Street. Number 285, the Charles and Adelaide Kittredge house, was lost to fire in the 1930s or 40s. The house appears in the 1933 atlas. There are building permits from 1949 for the three houses that took the place of Number 285. These three are now numbered 289, 291 and 297.
