The current Covid pandemic may feel unprecedented, but for Dorchester and Greater Boston, there is a clear precedent in the first American outbreak of influenza in the Fall of 1918. That pandemic killed some 675,000 Americans and particularly devastated our city. Learn the background to Boston’s experience and how residents then confronted their own unprecedented times.
