The Dorchester Historical Society presents

One Carpenter, Two Planes, Three Plane Makers in 19th Century Boston

with Barney Fix, restoration carpenter and researcher on early

American tradesman, and museum curator Marsha Rooney

Learn about Nova Scotia-born carpenter William Pentz, who immigrated to Boston and made his living building houses, and about the plane makers whose tools were essential to the carpenters’ craft.
